Voit XP Mens ALL GRAPHITE Golf Club Set & Stand Bag
Well, before buying this product, I couldn’t find solid reviews (good or bad), so I kind of took a gamble. I’ll try to help anyone who is thinking of buying this product, so, I’ll be updating this review during a couple of months.
First of all, I got it delivered in a day (from Amazon), so I was amazed at the quickness of it.
My source or base to make this review is a hand down bag (nike) with Wilson’s Deep Red clubs.
Day 0. The bag is really nice, light, compact, two leg stand, cover bag, no complaints here, really nice. The clubs, well they look solid and are really light.
I took them right away to the driving range, tried all of them. All of them past the first test … none broke or made “funny sounds” and I seemed to have an easier time hitting the ball that I did with the Wilson clubs. Part is because of the weight.
So, up till now, I’m very happy with the buy.
I’ll update the review once I take them to the course.
UPDATE:
Well it’s been a couple of weeks, on which I’ve gone to the range and to the course, and I’m happy to say that the clubs are solid. I’m changing my rating from 4 to 5, just because its been everything that I was expecting. Up till now, great beginner club set. Very happy with the purchase.
Last UPDATE:
Just wanted to let anyone (still interested) know that everything is OK, I’ve been happily golfing since I’ve got the set. Good luck.
Very last UPDATE (may 21th 2012):
I thought it would be interesting to give this update. It has been a year and a half later (I think) and I can tell you that after much playing, all of the clubs are still working, or at least none have broken. So in that sense, I can say they are VERY durable and, I think, well worth the price (or at least the original price). The only note that I might add is that maybe (and it’s only my amateur perspective) the clubs won’t give you much distance. After struggling for a couple of month of me training and competing in local tournaments, I did notice that no matter if I felt I hit the ball well “enough”, the distance always tended to be 10 to 20 yards shorter (depending on the club) than desire or planed (compare to my friends). So, finally I asked for one of my friends 9 iron and hit the ball (basically the same way) and the ball traveled around 15 yards more.
So who knows, right? Or maybe is something very obvious and logical, but I would recommend to buy these clubs for starters and if you continue playing after a year (and are staring to be a little more “serious” than a monthly player or so), get better clubs (new or use, what ever you can afford). I might (but still not sure).
Cheers.
New Golfer
` packaging was just right every club was wrapped and the heads were in bubble wrap came with to socks one for the driver and one for the 3 .
` the bag is very nice good colors and quite a few pockets not alot of the fancy stuff like insulated bottle pockets but who needs that i have a cooler lol .
` as for the clubs they are all very nice i got the all graphite set and they look really good and are very light i purchased the all graphite set.
`performance i cant say how good or how bad these clubs are because i don’t have enough experience in golf but i can say i used my dads tour blades and i really had a hard time but i picked these up and i was getting much better contact and i was driving the ball a good 200 yrds.
*****update the driver head cracked and i sent it back in to amazon with a full refund and i got the steel shaft which were better hopefully the driver last longer but this is not a nike brand or anything so no hard feelings 12/28/2011
cons……
` i haven’t put enough wear and tear on them to see how they last but i have taking them to the driving range about 3 times and they have not bent or done anything unusual and i have hit the floor directly on a few occasions.
the paint on the driver and some of the clubs is a little sloppy but nothing that you can notice unless really looking at it.
the putter is just a standard blade looks like a miniature golf club but metal but it does its job.
so over all GREAT buy for the price and GREAT beginner clubs i highly recommend these to anyone who is willing to learn and put in a little money to start out they look good and they preform decent my dad was using them to test them out and he has been playing for 20 years. i will come back after i play a game of golf in a week or two to update the rating and review.
Cheap, but good.
Pros:
Price, can’t beat that.
Irons are great, they hit well, feel sturdy, the shaft is slightly flexible but not too much. Me, as a brand new golfer, can put range balls out about 150 yards straight and true with the 5 iron, seems very good to me.
Putter is good too, basic but feels good in the hand and gives me fairly good feedback when putting.
Cons:
The woods (driver, 3-wood, and to a lesser extent the hybrid 4 club) are of noticeably lower quality than the irons. The paint job on them close up is pretty sloppy, the way they have polished the aluminum is inconsistent; so when you look at the wood from different angles it looks strange. This set looks really nice from a distance, and the irons look good up close, but the woods defiantly give away that this is a cheap set. They don’t seem to hit nearly as well as the irons, but that could be me, however others that I have had try them noticed the same thing.
The bag is very very cheap. The padding dividers for the club shafts are held in place with just Velcro, they tend to move around a lot. The side slots for irons are very narrow and getting the clubs in and out can be difficult. Most importantly: the bag material is very cheap and flimsy. The first time I took the clubs out for a round, it split right down one of the seams near the handle. The bag still works for now, but if the rip gets any bigger (it will) I will be in the market for a new one. I was disappointed it ripped the very first time I carried it further than from my car to the driving range. It has a good amount of pockets, and the water bottle holder is good if small, but the zippers are really cheap and tend to stick a lot. I don’t have high hopes they will last long.
Other Thoughts:
I haven’t had any issues with it so far, so I am not putting this as a con, but the mechanism that pops the legs out when you set the bag down seems a little flimsy. It has worked fine so far though.
The set suffers from the lack of a sand wedge, or some other more aggressively angled club for short chips. I’m looking for a decent one to add to the set to round it out, the P Wedge just doesn’t cut it up close. Not a con, since you should probably realize this when buying it.
Overall, I would give this 3 stars, but the price of the set brings it up to 4, you get basically everything you need to start out for the cost of a brand name putter. For new golfers, I would recommend it.
TL;DR:
Irons and Putter: Great
Woods: Decent
Bag: Poor
Overall satisfaction: Horrible<---------------|----->Amazing
Excellent value-priced clubs
Excellent value
At least three of us have used the clubs with similar results – we loved them. They are great as a second set and for a set to be used “occasionally”. The driver is very forgiving and the clubs in generally are well designed.
If this is your primary set, and you only golf occasionally, the results should be the same.
Great Purchase

antastic buy
Does lack a sand wedge and the 5 wood is not my favprite, but overall, this proves the obscene markups on golf clubs since they are all made in China – just like these,
